Come join us and experience Forró! We have regular classes on Wednesdays with our teachers Bruna Azevedo from Forró Den Haag and Empar Baltasar, who is a teacher in training.
Classes are on 3 levels: Level 0, 1 and 2. Our classes are organized in blocks of 4 lessons. Every block focuses on a few related movements in Forró.
If you are a beginner and want to try if you like it (we are confident you will), you can sign up for an individual lesson at Level 0.
In addition to our regular classes, we also offer a unique monthly opportunity to put your new skills into practice. Instead of a class, we head to Den Haag for a free social dance event. This is an excellent chance to dance, connect with the community, and experience the vibrant Forró scene in Den Haag.
Classes of block 4 classes kick off on Wednesday 14th of May. You have the option to sign up for either the block of 4 classes or an indivudual class. The class dates of each block are:

Never danced forró or any other dance before? This is your chance to experiment with this new partner dance, learn the fundamentals, and start using directions to move around the dance floor.
Level 1 is for all the students who feel comfortable with all basic moves (basic step, open base, balanço, chuveirinho, simple turn, arm lock). On Level 1 we solidify your forró foundations, focus on technique, spatial awareness, and learn new steps. Gain autonomy and confidence. Integrate figures fluidly, develop your own style, and enhance leader-follower communication.

Have you already been dancing for more than a year, attending parties and possibly festivals? And do you feel like Level 1 is not challenging for you anymore? Then it might be time to try Level 2. Focus on refining movements with comfort and fluidity.
We encourage students to attend each level at least two times in order to become familiar with all moves before moving up to an other level.

Want to pop in for a single lesson? With this option, you pay for a single class and it is available for all levels.
With this option, you pay for a block of 4 classes (1 Level only).
Want to attend 2 classes per week over 4 weeks (for 2 levels)?
This option gives you 8 classes total within one block.
Our weekly classes take place in Emma Centrum in Lombok. For our workshops we occassionaly use other locations in Utrecht, so make sure you check the address on the registration.
