On March 22nd, we are excited to welcome Rafael Wilker from Minas Gerais, Brazil, for a special afternoon of forró workshops in Utrecht.

About Rafael

Rafael began dancing in 2009, exploring rhythms such as Samba, Zouk, Salsa and Tango to enrich his main specialties: Forró and Zouk.

From 2011 to 2019, he trained and taught at Pé Descalço, one of the world’s most renowned forró schools, earning full graduation as a leader and developing a strong foundation in both roles.

In 2019, he launched his solo project, Forró com o Wilker, bringing his clear methodology, musicality and dynamic teaching style to workshops and festivals across Brazil and internationally. Known for his precision, creativity and joyful energy, Rafael teaches forró as connection, expression and transformation.

15:00-16:00 – Workshop 1: Banana Banana do Chapéu (Prerequisites: basic cycle, inverse turn for leaders)

16:15-17:15 – Workshop 2: Understanding the Dynamics of the Arms (Prerequisites: forró basics)

17:15-20:00 – Social dance
